About Gucci

In 1921, Guccio Gucci founded a small leather workshop in Florence that specialized in high-quality leather goods. Under the leadership of his son Aldo Gucci, the company gained international fame in 1947 with the introduction of the bamboo handbag. In the 1970s, Gucci expanded its range to include clothing and presented its first collection at Milan Fashion Week in 1981. In 1993, the company was sold to a credit institution, marking the end of the family era. Today, Gucci belongs to the French luxury group Kering and is one of the most sought-after luxury brands in the world.
